Viva Kennedy!

In case most of you were out busting your butt trying to make a living instead of sitting sipping margaritas in Martha's Vinyard or the Hamptons you may have missed the joyous news from up North that Senator Ted Kennedy was awarded the highest honor that the Mexican Government can give to a foreign citizen. The Aguila Azteca was presented to Kennedy on July 19.

Now for those of you who know little of the Spanish lingo it loosely translates to "thank you gullible Yankee for providing amnesty to twenty million illegal aliens who continue to suck three hundred billion dollars a year from your countrymen". I know that we are all proud of Senator Kennedy for his distinguished service to a nation who has, in reality, been at war with the United States since the 1840's. The last time such an award was presented was by the Nazis' to Vidkun Quisling who betrayed his Norwegian brethren and assisted the Germans in their invasion of Norway in 1940.

As soon as the award is rushed to Senator Kennedy her will surely display it proudly in a case filled with others awards during he time in the Senate. Of course there is the Order of the Horses Rump, the Cross of St.Guinness, the National Secretaries Award for Slap and Tickle Excellence, his combat ribbon for the Battle of the Booze, and his Underwater Swimming Award. I am informed that Kennedy was under consideration for the Quisling Award in 1985, 1986, and 1987 but since the Nazis' did not really have a voting bloc to which to pander he saw no profit in accepting.

Senator Kennedy, like so many wealthy people, uses his support of imaginary social issues as a bragging point with his country club buddies. These people have no concern whatsoever for you and me and whether we live or die. I feel certain that we in the South would like to present the distinguished Senator our own award, The Order of the Pine Rail with tar and feather clusters would see most appropriate. Kennedy has earned it many times over.

What are you thinking?

The election of 2008 should be a real mind bender. You have to wonder what the American people are thinking about......if thinking is not making too much of a stretch.

Mr. Obama ran a great race against a whining Hillary who continues to drag around that philandering bum of a husband. If she would ditch that clown even I might vote for her. Problem was that eighteen million deluded voters thought it was okay for "Randy" Bill to be back in the White House bedroom. Possibly this time it would have been with his own wife. Only thing she did right in this race was to ignore those kowtowing sycophants around her telling her to drop out a long time ago. She toughed it out and I gained some respect for her for doing so.

Obama decided, at the last moment, to resign from the "Church of Total Divisiveness" after sitting in the pew for twenty years listing to the racist drivel spewed by Mr. Wright and his traveling minstrel show. Obama says he will find another church. Don't bet on it. Win or lose he will be right back in the front row clapping along with Wright. For that matter if Obama were not running for President he would never have left in the first place. Think about it? Obama walking away "clean" from Wright's church is like David Duke (no not Daisy Duke) walking away "clean" from the Grand Dragon of the KKK. The leopard never, ever changes its spots. By the way, what is all of the clapping by Mr. Obama after he tells you how great he is? I haven't seen so much self adulation since newsreels of Stalin at the annual May Day Parades in Red Square. Seems to be an historic trait of devout Socialist.....or worse.

McCain, well he reminds me of the 2000 Presidential Debates. Bush and Gore, two wooden indians just standing around chatting. No Lincoln-Douglas debate here. McCain, supposedly know for his temper has been as exciting as a pound of wet leather. I want fire, passion, and substance in my next President not the pollyanna, Peter Pan, and pixie dust I am getting so far.

You could easily assume that I will not be voting in November. Nothing could be furthest from the truth. I will exercise my God given right to use a write in ballot and vote for Wilson L. Faris, American Citizen. If you care to join me feel free. The line forms on the right.

This must be OZ.

Opinion: I have had the pleasure of voting for candidates of five different political parties in my career. That is based on the belief that the candidate not the party is of value to the American People. In the 2008 election I am at a loss. There is not a single candidate running for whom I could vote for in good consciense.

The Republicans are a group do nothings, two faced, with little expertise in delivering a speech. It is like watching Bush and Gore debating. Cigar store indians would be more exciting. McCaine wants us to become the next state in Mexico, Romney has no clue what the American people want, Huckabee is a Bible thumping religious zealot, and Paul......is just Paul.

The Democrats have a different approach. Two candidates who do reasonable well in their presentations. Both of which I could never vote for. Clinton.....is Clinton. She may be a sharp lady but any woman who willingly puts up with an adulterer and philanderer just tor ride to the White House is no better than her husband who disgraced his office. Obama is playing the role of Elmer Gantry. He preaches universal health care, peace, love, and pixie dust with no detailed plan as to how to achieve any of it. He is a well spoken, impressive, product of the drug adled 60's. He is a proponent of BIG GOVERNMENT and wants to be the Pied Piper of Washington trailed by a bunch of lemmings as they race to the edge of the cliff.

With all of the savvy people in our country it is indeed a sad time when these dunderheads actually consider themselves qualified to be President. For these reasons I will be writing myself in on my ballot for President. Common sense a president shall make. This bunch has nothing to offer.

Rhee! Rhee! Rhee!

Dateline: 'Rhee granted firing authority' by Emerling (Washington Times) 1/9/08

A ray of sunshire and a glint of sanity again springs from the DC Government and it school system. The most dismal school system in the nation funded by more dollars per student than most any other is finally seeing the light. Ms. Rhee will now be allowed to sack the slackers and shirkers who inhabit the school system. Like all school systems in the Metro area it is hugely top heavy with layer upon layer of redundant bureaucrats shuffling paper from one pile to the other to justify their apparent worth. Maybe with the paper shufflers sent packing the educators will be allowed to teach for probably the first time in their careers.

After Ms. Rhee gets a good start in DC maybe she could visit the Republic of Montgomery County and take out the trash in the Superintendents Office. We have some students that need saving as well.

Who cares....really?

Dateline: 'Hopes high, tears flow in N.H.' by Bellantoni (Washington Times) 1/8/08

Well I guess that the media gets it wrong every now and then even though they write the scripts. Who really cares what happens in New Hamshire during the election? Only the media. If it were not for the Electoral College, New Hamshipre and most of the rest of us would be irrelevant in American politics.

I watch the candidates closely. Mr. Obama is particularily interesting. I enjoy a person who speaks well and with passion. He speaks of change but for the life of me I do not see the details of what change he wishes. I read two major newspapers each day and I don't see it. Maybe I missed that issue. His hope, change, Pixie dust, and Peter Pan mentality has me worried. The American people want details and in this election even more than most. I have seen 'Elmer Gantry' and Mr. Obama is no Burt Lancaster.

This is a dismal group of candidates and the independent prospects are even worse. There are no Abe's, Teddy, FDR, Ronnie, or Jack's in the mix. Our enemies south of the border must be licking their chops. As of today I plan to write myself in for President in 08.

Texas cross the river.

Dateline: 'Border crossing cut by Texas crackdown' The Washington Times 12/29/07

It is all well and good that local officials along parts of the Texas-Mexico border have made it a New Years resolution to attack the crisis of illegal aliens. However, one must ask how many resolutions are ever kept. A flash in the pan program to make headlines for local politicians is in no way a resolution or solution.

Border Patrol Sector Chief Carrillo makes a good case for enforcement of the law and promised prosecution. He touts the effect of sending a message to illegals that they will be caught and sent to jail. Chief Carillo and his bosses continue to miss the point. As long as the American citizen and legal resident is paying the freight for this effort it fails as a solution.

The message doe not need to be sent to some poor Mexican peasant who is being pressured to cross the border in a form of 'economic cleansing' of the Mexican population. The message needs to be sent directly to the Presidential Palace in Mexico City in the form of severe economic penalties. The Mexican Government must clearly understand that the continuation of it on-going criminal enterprise based on its organization, control, and promotion of its illegal attack on the United States will result in economic and military response.

It is time to close the Mexican border to all transport, land and air, for a period of sixty days. Such an action will send a clear message of what is to come. The repayment of six trillion, eight hundred billion dollars in taxpayer costs of supporting the twenty million plus illegal, over the past twenty years, will be a positive step by Mexico to return to the world of lawful nations instead of the bandit society that rules the troubled land.

"Buzzards come home to roost"

Dateline: "Mexican's protest US farm imports". The Washington Times 01/01/08

The old saying of 'the pot calling the kettle black' has never been more clearly demonstrated as in the Mexican protests of US farm products being available to the starving peasants of Mexico. Even after 15 years of tariff protection provided by the disastrous NAFTA agreement the Mexicans still while. Yet in their objections the Mexicans have shown the American politicians the light, if such is possible, as to how to solve the illegal alien crisis in the United States.

I applaud the Mexican farmers who blocked the bridge between Juarez and El Paso. They should be blocking the border just as the United States should be closing the border to all transport between Mexico and the US. This would solve the farm imports problem for Mexico and the illegal alien problem fro the United States.

Another old saying comes to mind concerning 'buzzards coming home to roost'. VIVA! The National Association of Commercial Field Products. Show us the way, Jose!
